Good Morning This Afternoon, Saturday, March 5th, The Heavenly Renaissance crew is creating an experience called “I Love NY Part 4”. Two incredible DJ’s, 4 turntables and one Host! It’s the way a party should be done. Every week we will be releasing a 15 minute mix that represents the 5 Boroughs (and surrounding areas) of New York City. 1st up… Da Bronx! "And they ain't leavin' 'til 6 in the morning..." (Well, 5:15 is close enough)
2:00 am…(The birthday boy gets it poppin.) At 2:15 a.m. my man @ DJ E-Clazz and the Wild Afrikan pushed the restart button on an already dope party and created an event within the party! As we all know, Atlanta has recently gotten a bad rap for its nightlife, not because of violent action, but because of apathy and inaction. We’ve all been at an event or party where everyone is standing around waiting on something to happen. Or, maybe they didn’t want to dance because their shades and nightclub lighting didn’t mix. They kept having recurring visions of walking into a VIP couch and stubbing their toe on an empty Champagne bottle! Ha!
(Keisha, Bianca & Jenya strike a pose.)
This past Friday was a return to that place where all the “Good” things BE.
It’s not something that you can really describe, but something you have to experience. We would like to thank all that attended from the bottom of our hearts for reminding us why we do what we do!
(Jamal shares a song.)

Skateboard Steve, Bianca “Bibi Guns” Mendez, Jenya Meggs, Eileen the Dominicana, Tiffany, Alisa, India, Dr. Joyce, Renaldo Nehemiah, Imani, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Keisha Knight-Pulliam, JP, Lance Gross, Merlina, Marco, the fabulous wait staff and servers, Passionate, DJ Teknology for staying down, Lailah, Big Gipp & Khudjo of the Mighty Goodie Mob & the rest of you that helped make this memory!
Why is it that we are so intent on explaining our beliefs, views or “knowing”? Forget that, why are we so intent on explaining God? How many times have you attempted to justify your spiritual perspective or ask someone to further explain theirs. Why is there this need to protect and validate what we call God? Maybe to prove that we believe? But prove to who? How many words do you think it will take to make someone believe? How many words will it take to explain? How many words will it take to convince someone that you’re with the “right” “god”. Trying to explain God is like trying to explain the wind. There is no need to explain the Wind. It takes no effort to even experience the Wind. It just is… and the experience is the “Knowing”.
"I want to know God’s thoughts… the rest are details" - Albert Einstein
As I come to understand what this truly means, I find myself still falling into the pitfalls that seemingly make this concept, thing, state or oneness elusive. What I have to constantly remind myself of is that Peace is a internal process rather than an external one. When we look for the outside world to be peaceful, this is our first mistake. We must become the thing we seek. We must be able to maintain a stillness even when the things, people & environments around us are not “Peace”. As we start to live, I mean truly live our peace, we will watch our environment, people & things become this. As we consciously practice this watch as the things that are not Peace fade, or we will find that this stillness will carry us away like the wind does a leaf into a place of peace.
Today: I will practice Peace internally even in the mist of external non-peace. Therefore transforming the world into what I desire it to be.
As I have been listening to LiVe from Plutopia on BeehiveFM w The Wildafrikan and Mable Abraham for less than a year, I have met some amazing people. In person as well as online in chats, via emails and on air call ins! They are one of the biggest influences in MY life thus far and especially…
"Habari Gani?". Today is the 6th day of Kwaanza, Kuumba (Creativity) - "To do always as much as we can in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it."
Although this is the explanation for this day of Kwanzaa, I would like to put a twist on it. I say that we can use Kuumba to CREATE for ourselves EXACTLY what we want and desire for the new year. We can use our imagination and divine guidance to literally transform our lives! ”CREATE-ivity” is the ability to take something for “No-Thing” and bring it into existence. The “No-Thing” is really the place from witch all things come (Think a sculptor creating a masterpiece).
I invite you to go inside to see who you were/are before you got here. The only that is stopping you from your greatness is the conversation you are having in your mind. Life is meant to be abundant in all areas. We are Light and Love and these things can transform ANYTHING! Change your life today. CREATE what you want for yourself!!!
New Year’s Eve doesn’t have to be a headache. This Friday, as we move into 1.1.11, we want it to be exhilarating yet effortless.
Here’s why we’re opening up the doors at Luxe Lounge for New Year’s Eve:
1. “Times breed necessity”. Times are a little harder these days, so the 1st day of the year shouldn’t break your back. We get it, so here’s our solution. 2. If you have the money to spend, why not spend it on your liquor, an incredible outfit or purchasing tickets for your girls. 3. We simply don’t have a lot of expenses. We can bring you a better product and make it cost efficient. 4. Why can’t New year’s Eve be fun and reasonable? 2011 is going to be awesome! I mean really, really awesome. So party with folks with a proven track record and who focus all their effort on atmosphere, great music, beautiful people & making memories!
"Habari Gani" (What’s the news). In preparation for Kwanzaa here are the seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba. Kwanzaa begins on December 26th, and last for seven days. Each day represented by a particular principle in which everyone can benefit from. Today is Umoja (Unity) - To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race.
Missed “Live From Plutopia” today? Here’s a clip! @mableabraham & @wildafrikan talk about tonight’s Heat vs. Cavalier game tonight! Hee-larry-ous! Weekdays from 2pm-6pm! Welcome to our planet. (Slightly Explicit Contact… Nuthin you ain’t heard before)
"There is no time for hesitation. There is also no rush. But hesitation usually manifests itself when one over thinks what they already ‘know’. That flash of Genius that usually comes when the mind is silent is usually all that is needed. The UNIVERSE will then conspire to support and make happen those ideas that come from deep within. After all, where they come from is probably all that is, all that was and all that ever will BE. Some may call that source… GOD." - Plutopianism
"The way we view the world has a way of determining the options we have to choose from. Freedom isn’t just about choosing, but also creating a reality where there is more to choose from. You can’t see what is not there and you can’t experience what is here if you can’t see it."
